Hello. My name is Cody and I like to build things on the web. In fact, I have been building things since I was a little kid. I used to take apart any and everything I could find in the garage. It drove my dad nuts! Ahh... what memories.. but I digress...

Web Development

I have been building websites since 1998. I have worked for major corporations like Oracle in the R&D division as well as building small web apps for mid-sized businesses. I work in strickly LAMP environments with a blend of AJAX, JQuery, CRON and Javascript.

My current project involves blanding social networking with work; where we build platforms to help clients get services from freelancers such as writers, developers, designers and more.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

I have started playing around with search engines and rankings back in 2004. I have built some well ranked internet properties. It is a fun process, but extremely frustrating as everyone claims to be an expert.

Business Development

First, create the problem and Second, find the solution. That's my sales moto... I have built every successful business of mine on this philosophy. So many people get caught up with the little things. It doesn't matter. Just get out there and start driving leads and business; the other stuff will come.

I started this busines in April of 2009. It was based on an article I read in the Harvard Business Review discussing the future of work and what that would look like in the future. It was interesting to me and so I took $10K and built the first version of the software. Today we have almost 20,000 copywriter members and over 2,000 clients.

Worked in the Systems Managment Products (SMP) division of Oracle Research and Development. Was a great experience and allowed me to travel quite a bit internationally and domestically.

This was easily the best time of my life aside from marrying my beautiful wife Laura and the birth of my little girl, Charli. The years flew by there and I met some great people along the way. Surfing was always at the top of the list and I lived in some pretty classic places including a $5M mansion in the Riviera section of SB for a year and then in a garage in Isla Vista (IV). I also saw my fair share of mayhem on Del PLaya (DP). Just saying these acronyms brings back memories.
